Susan Boyle concert is struck by tragedy as man collapses in the audience and receives emergency treatment in his seat

A man was taken ill during a Susan Boyle concert after he collapsed in his seat at a Susan Boyle concert at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on Tuesday.
The man, who is understood to have died, was given emergency resuscitation and was carried out of the venue in a stretcher to be taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Susan began her performance five minutes late, unaware that a member of the audience had been taken severely ill.
According to the Manchester Evening News, audience members were asked to leave a section of the stalls as ambulance crew administered the emergency procedure.
The performance began at 7.50pm with supporting act Lance Ellington taking to the stage and introducing SuBo to the Manchester audience.
A witness said: 'It was a member of the audience who started the CPR which was then taken over by the paramedics, who arrived within minutes. I've literally never seen an ambulance crew arrive so quickly'

And by the looks of it Michelle Keegan has been sticking to her regime as she looked in amazing shape as she attended the Tesco Mum of The Year Awards at the Savoy Hotel on Sunday.
The 34-year-old, who welcomed a son called Aaron Jay on 28 February, turned heads in a low cut pink and gold dress.
Drawing attention to her bust the frock was covered in an intricate gold sequined pattern, while the rest of the dress was a pale pink.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the event she wrote: ‘On way #TescoMumoftheYear - Thank you @Piamichi for my stunning dress & my girl @InanchLondon for my @GoldClassHair x’
Despite looking sensational at the ceremony Michelle admitted that her sleep had been rather disruptive since she and husband Hugh Hanley welcomed their latest addition.

They're an unlikely duo but Mel C and Chris Moyles have become the best of friends since they starred in the West End show Superstar.
And, it seems, two years on the pair can't help making sweet music as they arrived together to celebrate the 1000th performance of Matilda The Musical at London's Cambridge Theatre on Sunday.
Mel, aka Melanie Chisholm, and the radio DJ looked very much in synch; she in a stunning sheer black gown and Chris, 40, in a grey jacket and dark trousers.
Mel, also 40, played Mary Magdalene in Superstar, while Chris made his
stage debut as King Herod, and both say they are thankful to the 2012 show for bringing them together as friends.

There were plenty of famous faces and deserving winners when the Tesco Mum of the Year awards were held on Sunday at the Savoy Hotel.
As the Ambassador of the Tesco Mum of the Year Awards 2014, Coleen Rooney, lent her star presence to the proceedings.
Dressed in an LBD that was equally daring and demure at turns and with her hair pulled back off her face, Coleen looked very regal in appearance and a fine representation of what the awards were all about.
This is the ninth year that the Tesco Mum of The Year Awards have run. They are to honour women who, according to the supermarket chain, 'go above and beyond the call of duty to help others and are a wonderful way to recognise ordinary mums who do extraordinary things'.
As the event's ambassador, the position carries a lot of responsibility with it, but that something that's not new to Coleen, who is married to Manchester United and England footballer Wayne Rooney has two boys - Kai, aged four and Klay, six months.
'I am so excited to be involved with these awards and wanted to be part of this campaign to give it the recognition it deserves,' she explained on the awards website. 'There are so many truly inspirational, courageous and selfless mums out there who do an amazing job but have no idea how special they are. There were so many incredible mum nominated this year.'

She has turned her life around since entering rehab last year.
And in a series of Twitter photos shared by Amanda Bynes on Friday, the actress turned design student truly did appear back to her best.
The 27-year-old looked healthy and happy as she posed alongside her mother and father at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, where she is now studying.
Her parents have proved the key to Amanda's recovery, supporting her even when she rejected their help at her worst point.
Amanda was elegantly clad in loose-fitting khaki high-waisted
trousers, pulled over the top of a basic black tank top showing off just enough skin to maintain class.
With a gold chain handbag slung over one arm, she posed alongside her parents, Rick and Lynn, on the backdrop of a presentation marking the 2014 FIDM Debut which welcomed the school's new students.
Her hair was coloured a pretty, natural shade of blonde and styled in neat and curls - a marked difference to the bleach blonde style she wore for a long time in 2013.
The pretty star's face was beautifully made up with light lashings of mascara and lip colour, bringing her back to a naturally stunning state.
The Twitter posts mark only the third time that Amanda has made use of the social networking site since she came out of rehab to live with her parents and started studying in December 2013.
She involved herself in college life by using the hashtag #FIDMDEBUT alongside each of her uploads, clearly proud to be part of the reputable institute.
Amanda notoriously went through a very public meltdown last year, documenting her emotional journey via Twitter and being photographed out and about in various questionable situations and looks.

She might’ve only just announced her come-back to the X Factor, but it looks like Cheryl Cole is determined to make her mark on the new series.
The Sun have reported Cheryl is keen for the show to have a major overhaul, involving getting rid of the original group categories and dividing the contestants in a different style.
The 30-year-old believes judges ‘should mentor one girl, one boy, a group and one person from the overs category’.
A source said: ‘Cheryl has been very vocal about ideas and changes that could liven things up.’
Another added: ‘It’s far too early to say what, if any, changes might be made – all aspects of the format are being looked at to make the best show possible.’
Only last week did X Factor boss Simon Cowell and Cheryl, once dubbed nation’s sweetheart, reveal they were both returning to the show.
